On Thursday the 17th of March the students from the second, third and fourth grades of from the ISK had a unique opportunity to speak with out special guest Dr. Johannes Leitner from the Citizen Science projects and blast off into space and explore the cosmos to discover the secrets of our universe.
Dr. Leitner took the time to answer all our young scientist's questions. Why is space so dark when our sun is so bright? Are there plants or life on other planets? How is our universe infinite? Just a sample of the many questions thought up by our budding scientists.
The students were allowed to handle meteorites as old as the earth itself as well as samples of rock from the Moon as well as Mars!
Through the fabulous illustration and presentation by our guest and researcher Mr. Leitner, we managed in a short time to gain a lot from his knowledge of the many exciting secrets of the universe.
And of course also a thank you to Monika, Elisabeth and Joel, who had already introduced the students to the topic during their class and research hours.
