Positioning & concept
In Austria 77.2% of the secondary schools are public and only 22.8% are private. 60% of the private institutions were founded by the Roman-Catholic church.
The school clearly distinguishes itself from other grammar schools of the surrounding area: on the one hand, there is a clear international focus of the ISK secondary school including the International Baccalaureate which is planned in the long term; on the other hand, the school is organised as an all-day school.
- In the ISK secondary school, children will be able to study all day, i.e. from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Moreover, there is supervision from 7 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
- Lessons are held bilingually in German and English. Multilingualism is encouraged.
- Self-, language, social and professional competences are fostered by means of a learning culture that respects individual stages of development, individual learning and working speed, individual interests and skills as well as the creative potential.
